Right Here is Where You Belong
Congratulations on making it this far on your wellness journey. For most, seeking help is a daunting task, so I commend you on taking steps to find assistance on this journey. As a therapist, I (1) assist clients with mental health maintenance, (2) help clients gain insight into past situations that currently affect their life, and (3) facilitate better navigation of recent life changes.
You may have some idea of the obstacles keeping you from fulfilling a healthy life. For most, both internal and external factors play a part in our mental health. My goal is to create a trusting relationship that allows us to understand the whole being and all aspects of life, including personal, social, familial, environmental, and institutional.
As a therapist who is also an advocate for inclusion, I am culturally competent and affirming. I work with most populations, especially those considered underrepresented, but extend far beyond race, class, gender, and sex.
“Helping individuals, families, organizations and communities through mental health wellness, advocacy, cultural change, and organizational development. ”
Grief is a complex and deeply personal journey, and it's crucial to address it early, often and honestly. Suppressing our emotions may seem like a way to cope, but it can lead to prolonged, unnecessary suffering. "The After" exemplifies the emotional rollercoaster following a tragic loss, reminding us that grief takes many forms and can manifest unexpectedly. It's a reminder that no one should experience it alone in their struggle and that we are all connected by the universal experience of loss.
